Location, Location, Location . . . Our dog friendly cabin is located 1/2 block from the Lake! 1/2 block to Patton Beach-the only dog friendly beach in the North Shore, & GarWoods Restaurant. This absolutely charming family retreat offers a delightful setting with towering pine trees. There is a warm & welcoming feeling to this special property! You’ll love the lake view from living room and master suite. Plus CB Pizza, Waterman's Landing, Sierra Boat Company and Miniature Golf are a stone's throw away.
Our well appointed & updated, lake view cabin has 4 bdrms, 2-1/2 baths, fireplaces in the living room & primary suite, open floor plan & stocked kitchen. Pool Table & Hot Tub for added fun! The spacious, sparkling clean, upscale, family cabin is located on a quiet street with no rear neighbors! You'll love the privacy! This cozy cabin is 2000 square feet and features a fireplace downstairs in the family room, open floor plan and large kitchen. Upstairs you'll find 4 large bedrooms with room to host ten adults and some kids in beds. Twelve is the MAXIMUM number of guests allowed, max of 10 ADULTs per Placer Co.
The Primary Suite has large windows offering views of the lake and romantic fireplace. This cabin is well equipped for fun with games, books, pool table and a hot tub. There is a fenced dog run for your furry friend too. Dogs welcome, with additional fee, no cats. After a day of boating of crystal clear, blue Lake Tahoe or a day on the slopes you'll find this the perfect retreat. And if you do need to connect with work, there is high speed internet.
You'll enjoy our cabin with full kitchen including all the amenities, a gas grill on the spacious deck, a hot tub and game room with pool table - it is perfect for one or two families to escape and enjoy this retreat! The house is stocked with towels, extra bedding as needed. Washer and dryer with detergent available. The kitchen is a Chef's dream with new plates, glassware, pot/pans, baking sheets, cake and pie pans, etc. we have a blender, slow cooker and even a Cuisinart food processor. Plus salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, condiments, sugar and spices. For your morning indulgences, there is a regular coffee maker, espresso machine and a keurig, if you prefer pods.
In the garage your find sleds and saucers for fun in the snow. For summer there are rafts, floaty things, tubes, a pop up tent, and wagon to get it all to the beach-plus beach towels. All the furnishings, equipment and bedding is updated annually.
All set for a perfect vacation!
The house backs up to the Tahoe National Forest for your hiking or sledding, or snowshoeing pleasure, and complete privacy. At the end of the day, relax in the hot tub. There are 4 flat screen TVs, premium cable and movie channels, plus Netflix, for those who choose to relax at home. You can use your Apple TV and other programs with the TV as well.
Carnelian Bay is between Kings Beach and Tahoe City in North Lake Tahoe. Carnelian Bay has easy access to all the North Lake beaches. The house is 10 minutes Northstar and 20 minutes to Squaw Valley-Alpine Meadows. The casinos at Stateline are 10 minutes away too.
Nearby are great restaurants such as GarWood's Restaurant and Pier (Lanza's, Old Range steakhouse plus many more in nearby Kings Beach and Tahoe City) where you can watch the sunset and ponder the next days activities. Our location offers everything from boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking, rafting down the nearby Truckee River, hiking , skiing and so much more in this beautiful place has to offer. Waterman's Landing is on the beach and offers kayak, paddle board and more rentals for the day. Post Office Cafe is great for fabulous breakfasts and lunches, CB Pizza is literally across the street, as is 7-11. Grocery stores are less than 10 minutes away as well.
Reno is 45 minute away.

Summary: Our family had a mini-reunion for a long weekend and this home was perfect for our needs. It is beautifully decorated, centrally located, and full of amenities that made our stay memorable. We played cornhole in the backyard and enjoyed the hot tub. The back deck has a gas barbecue and large picnic table with umbrella for eating outside. The dining table seated ten, perfect for our big group. The garage has a pool table and a generous number of foldable seating options - beach chairs, camp chairs, and regular folding chairs as well as a cooler, wagon, and sand toys which would have been handy if it had been a little warmer and we had gone to the beach. The kitchen was outfitted with just about everything you could imagine, and so many plates and utensils that we had enough to use for our group of 12 even while the dishwasher was running with our previously used items. Our adult children enjoyed being able to walk to GarWoods for a Wet Woody. In her email, Ellen mentioned early checkin and late checkout were available as it was early June, which we appreciated very much. We’ve rented many homes over the years, and this one stands out as one of the best. Thank you to our hosts for a perfect stay.

Summary: We’ve travelled a lot with air b n b and VRBO. This is by far the most well equipped cabin I’ve ever stayed at. Even on the fridge they ask for suggestions! Responsive host goes out of their way to accommodate you. The cabin was clean and has everything you need for your stay to include outings to the beach. Oh and the back deck is amazing

Summary: We had a very cozy and comfortable stay over new years! The house isbinnannawesome location walking distance to the lake and restaurants. 711 is even a three min walk. All while feeling secluded in the trees. We had lots of snow too and the streets were plowed very quickly and they have the house stocked with tools and supplies making it convenient to remove the snow. The hot tub was quite a treat after snowboarding too. Traveled with multi generations and the only thing I feel must be clear is all bedrooms are upstairs. My kids were super comfy and the rooms are nicely appointed. Laundry is upstairs too which is splendid. Overall very cozy and we would definitly recommend and go back again. ))

Summary: My family all felt right at home. Kitchen was fully supplied with everything we needed to make our meals. Bedroom were comfortable. Bathtubs had a slow drain that we reported to Ellen and she’s getting that taken care of. Pool table in the garage was fun but the felt is in needed of replacement and only one pool stick had the tip left on it. There was a variety of sleds that came on handy with the hill right in the back yard that r got to play in the snow. And a very nice hot tub to warm up and completely relax. Bonus was meeting Yukon next doors big sweet fur babyThat comes to the back door to met you and roams around the area.

Summary: We enjoyed the house for our 11 members of the family. One grandson slept on the floor because none of them will share a bed. It worked out fine. The kitchen is very well set up with anything you would need to cook, plus gas webber grill in the backyard. The table outside fit all of us and two guests. No fence, it opens up to open space and lots of pine trees. The boys played corn hole, horse shoes. Also we brought badminton and softballs to play in the open pine tree area. The men used the out tub on the deck, that was nice. The house has two sofas in living room and air conditioning if it is hot outside. Close to 7-11 if you need ice or anything quickly. The beach is right across the street. Very nicely manicured area with a bathroom and parking. Everyone had a great time.
